Description: Are you a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity? A facility near Philadelphia, PA, is seeking coverage to meet the needs of an increasing patient volume. This assignment offers a mix of inpatient care, call coverage, and procedural work, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced providers. Assignment Highlights
Start Date: 11/25/2024
Duration: Ongoing, with initial commitment through 02/01/2025, extendable.
Location: Near Philadelphia, PA.
Practice Setting: Inpatient, with no outpatient responsibilities.
EMR System: Epic (experience preferred).
Schedule and Coverage
Weekday Rounding: Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM at one hospital per day.
Night Call: 5 PM - 7 AM (phone consultations only).
Weekend Call and Rounding: Includes calls and in-person rounding both Saturday and Sunday. Weekend shifts run from Friday 5 PM through Monday 7 AM.
Call Ratio: 1:5.
Patient and Procedural Details
Patients Per Day: Hospital census averages 20-25 with support from 2 NPs and residents.
Procedures Required:
- Echocardiograms (including TEE).
- Nuclear Stress Tests.
- Vascular Studies.
Specialty Skills Needed: Non-invasive cardiology expertise, including TEE and diagnostic imaging.
Requirements
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS.
Licensure: Must hold an active Pennsylvania license.
Board Status: Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.
Fellowship: Required.
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days (temporary privileges available for qualified candidates).
Additional Information
Support Staff: Includes hospitalists, experienced RNs, and a team of 5 cardiology providers.
Privileges: Providers will need to submit case logs for TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Stress Test procedures.
