Description: Adelphi is seeking to urgently recruit Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)s to provide medical services for a correctional facility in Huron, OH. The candidates will perform routine, emergent, and urgent services to inmates in the facility.

Requirements:
- LPN OH license.
- Current CPR Certificcation
- 2 or 3 years clinical hands on patient care experience.
- Skilled care facility, psychiatric ward, chemical care dependency facility or correctional facility experience.
- Pharmacology (including drug interactions and side effects)
Responsibilities:
- First aid and CPR
- Obtain vital signs
- Provide wound care or other first aid as needed.
- Inmate medical assesments as required by Bureau of Adult Detention (BAD) standard.
- Maintain controlled substance and sharp counts
- Follow established protocals or department procedures.
- Attend and participate in scheduled meetings, seminars, in-services, conferences, workshops or other educational presentations as assigned.
- Respond to medical codes and other critical incidences/disasters.
- Collect, compile, and analyze information and data.
- Coordinate medical testing and transfers
- Act as a resource person for and providing health care education to staff and inmates
- Adhere to safe work practices, infection control procedures and other agency or department rules and regulations.
- Maintain effectiveness and efficiency under pressure.
- Administer prescribed medications and documentations on MAR
- Collect and document objective/subjective data (SOAP method)
- Inform security staff of inmate medical needs.
