Position Overview
Apex Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center is a rapidly growing, skincare facility that empowers employees to deliver exceptional patient experiences. We are currently looking for talented, highly motivated and skilled candidates for the role of Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to join our dynamic team. The Director of RCM will play a pivotal role in optimizing our revenue cycle operations, from organizational design, leadership, and thoughtful guidance to the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate clearly to non-Revenue Cycle stakeholders. This position reports directly to the CFO and oversees a talented team of 12 - 15 individuals.
This position requires legal authorization to work in the US.
Essential Functions

- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching and guidance to the RCM team to achieve organizational and departmental goals
- Develop and maintain strategic relationship with PHO partner to ensure alignment of company goals and efficient and effective revenue cycle operations
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a sustainable organizational design to support the growing needs of the business
- Partner with Apex leadership team to provide strategic solutions and operational efficiencies
Revenue Cycle Operations:
- Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, including patient registration, billing, collections, claims processing, and other tasks
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue generation and minimize financial risks
- Create a performance-based culture, driven by metrics and productivity; monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports to hold the revenue cycle team accountable and allow for actionable insight to Apex leadership
- Develop policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations
- Lead the managed care efforts of the company, including benchmarking of existing contracts, management of PHO / payors, and contract re-negotiations as needed
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to billing and revenue management
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, and adjust processes accordingly
- Partner with IT and other departments to implement and maintain revenue cycle management software and tools
- Lead initiatives for process improvement and technology upgrades to enhance revenue cycle operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or MBA preferred or commensurate experience in lieu of degree
- 15+ years of revenue cycle experience, 10+ years management experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently; excellent follow-through, multitasking and client-facing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; interact positively and constructively with staff, clients, and other members of Apex leadership
- Self-motivated with a positive and exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to educate and train other staff members, and implement project plans within scheduled timelines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Certification in Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) or similar is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
