The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Crisis Therapist Pay Range:
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Salary: $29.00 - $36.00 DOE

Crisis Therapist Summary: The Mobile Crisis Team is expected to respond to any location within Klamath County to provide rapid, supportive responses to individuals who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
Crisis Therapist Education: Must meet requirements to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). QMHPs shall meet the following minimum qualifications and shall hold one of the following educational degrees:
- Graduate degree in Psychology.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and licensed by the state of Oregon.
- Graduate degree in social work.
- Graduate degree in a behavioral science field.
- Graduate degree in recreational, music or art therapy.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.

Crisis Therapist Responsibilities:
- Masters in a Behavioral Health discipline (social work, counseling, psychology, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
- Computer skills
- Writing skills
- At least one year of experience working as a therapist or similar position.
- Case management skills
- Managing crisis situations, conducting risk assessments, and working independently.
- The ability to work with various community partners including law enforcement, hospital staff, and family members, while maintaining your focus on the client's needs is key.
- Crisis work is dynamic, no one day is the same as the next.
Crisis Therapist Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be MHACBO QMHP Certified, and maintain certification for length of employment.
