Position: Manager Engineering and Maintenance


Description:

FTE-Full Time-80 hours-Bi-Weekly
Location-McCoullough Hyde Hospital-Oxford
Shift-Days

Job Overview:


Manages and directs daily activities of the hospital maintenance department; including buildings, grounds, utilities and systems equipment. Ensures proper operation of the Hospital utility systems and associated back up systems. Manages a comprehensive program of preventative maintenance activities to ensure utilities, environmental systems and other building systems operate properly and efficiently . Prioritizes, coordinates, and assigns work through verbal instructions/directions, hospital work requests, and, as requested from upper management, follows the daily work via meetings with supervisors to ensure proper installation, repairs, and equipment operations exist. Responsible for the development and maintenance of a record keeping and reporting system in compliance with OSHA, TJC, and State/Federal organizations. Supervisory responsibilities: Direct supervision of supervisors, lead mechanics and up to 30 staff.


Job Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General
Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
Knowledge of technical or engineering workings of hospital
4-5 years experience Management Healthcare experience with facility management in a complex healthcare environment Must have proven experience in working with Joint Commission and CMS standards
