Position: Food Safety Manager |
Description: Essenhaus Foods is the food manufacturing division of Das Dutchman Essenhaus, part of the Dutchman Hospitality Group. We supply our Amish Egg Noodles to our seven restaurants, as well as over 8,000 grocery stores nationwide. If you're looking for a position in food production, we want you on our team.
Pay: $55,000 annualized

What you'll be doing
- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Safe Quality (SQF) program
- Guide the facility through the SQF certification process
- Develop, implement and manage comprehensive food safety plans and HACCP systems
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local food safety regulations
- Conduct food safety training for all employees, ensuring understanding and compliance with SQF, HACCP, PCQI, FSMA and other regulatory requirements
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes and advancements in food safety to implement updates as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills you'll bring along
- SQF, HACCP, PCQI and FSMA certifications preferred
- In-depth knowledge of SQF, HACCP, PCQI, FSMA and other food safety standards
- Strong organization, communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology or a related field OR a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in food safety and quality management
Job Type
- Full time salaried position, exempt from overtime pay
- M-F work week
- 8:00 am to 4:30 pm core hours
