Position Overview
The Senior GL Accountant (SGA) will be directly responsible for managing financial records and general ledgers and performing general accounting and reconciliations for assigned entities. SGA will assist with audit preparations, ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, and participate in the implementation of our ERP system. The SGA will have extensive contact with multiple internal and external parties and will provide comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders.
The place of work is Warsaw, Poland.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for month end activities and month end journal entries for assigned entities.
- Reconcile balance sheet and P&L.
- Responsible for quarterly and annual accounting and tax packages.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting, Sarbanes Oxley, and company policies.
- Ensure effective internal controls for the assigned accounting areas.
- Responsible for local statutory accounting and coordination with outsourcing partners.
- Responsible for internal and external audits.
- Participate in the implementation and upkeep of our ERP system.
- Work with external accounting partners, as well as U.S. corporate finance team (SAP).
- Participate and support finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks, as required.

- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of work experience in an accounting or financial reporting role.
- 5+ years of experience in a multinational company and/or shared service center.
- 5+ of years of experience working with an ERP system.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.
- Fluent to read, write, and speak in English. Fluent in German is a strong preference.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in SAP.
- Fluent to read, write, and speak German.
