Position: Surgery - General Physician Assistant |
Description: Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years of Neurosurgery inpatient experience.
Patient Population:
85% Adult
15% Pediatric (Preferred, but not mandatory)
Role and Responsibilities:
Provide independent assistance in a multidisciplinary practice, covering both pediatric and adult patient populations.
Diagnose and treat neurosurgical patients in a clinical setting.
Perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and carry out or assist with minor procedures.
Participate in the evaluation and assessment of potential surgical candidates.
Obtain and document comprehensive and focused patient histories and physicals, and effectively communicate relevant medical information to surgeons and physicians.
Requirements:
Active Missouri (MO) state license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
DEA certification.
