We are looking for a dynamic Senior Commissioning Project Manager to join our team and lead projects with excellence.







Role Overview:



As a Senior Commissioning Project Manager, you will oversee project delivery, act as the primary client representative, and manage all aspects of project performance, including engineering, contract management, financial oversight, and resource allocation. You will also play a key role in developing new business opportunities, mentoring staff, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.






Key Responsibilities



  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring exceptional communication and satisfaction.

  • Oversee project scope, schedules, and financial performance to ensure timely delivery and profitability.

  • Lead and coordinate project teams, assigning duties and managing resources effectively.

  • Develop and implement commissioning plans and schedules.

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Witness pre-functional and conduct functional testing of systems and equipment.

  • Identify and resolve issues during the commissioning process.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

  • Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.

  • Provide training and support to clients and end-users.

  • Handle contract negotiations, change orders, and project close-out activities.

  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting marketing and sales initiatives.

  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing career development and performance feedback.

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.

  • Willingness to travel (local and out-of-state), including multi-day trips.



Qualifications



Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in commissioning or related project management fields.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

  • Familiarity with commissioning software and tools.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Prior experience supervising technical staff.



Preferred:



  • PE registration or relevant technical certifications (e.g., USGBC, AABC, NEBB).

  • Professional certifications such as CxA or PMP.

  • Experience in energy audits, cost estimation, and construction.
