Air Squared Manufacturing, LLC is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects.
We are looking for a Buyer II to be responsible for purchasing material, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. The Buyer II will support qualifying suppliers, evaluating terms, and negotiating pricing for purchased goods and services and improving supplier performance.

Pay Range: $70,000 - 80,000 / year, based on qualifications and experience
Buyer II Job Responsibilities:
- Submit requests for quotes (RFQs), generate and maintain purchase orders (POs) for goods and services for tactical and strategic suppliers
- Manage supplier delivery schedules and ensure MRP information is current and accurate
- Responsible for managing some tactical and strategic supplier relationships
- Identify cost savings opportunities
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, maintain relationships with and improve performance of current suppliers.
- Lead business reviews with suppliers to review KPIs and discuss other topics.
- Monitor and maintain safety stock levels, minimum/maximum inventory levels and reorder points.
- Coordinate with internal customers to communicate and resolve quality, lead times delivery or other issues.
- Coordinate with the Supplier Quality team to resolve issues/concerns
- Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange transport of goods and ensure on-time delivery to and from suppliers
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues as needed
- Coordinate RMA process with suppliers including logistics, ERP changes, status, and determining credits or replacements.
- Coordinate with other departments and suppliers on Engineering Change Requests, drawing changes and other technical issues
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and self-sufficiency with MRP and other systems and be a resource for others Travel to supplier locations as necessary
- Assists in conducting research and analysis, including generating and presenting reports
- May lead or assist cycle count investigations
- Support other Supply Chain personnel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Potential for local and domestic travel to supplier locations as needed
Buyer II Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field (preferred) or Associate's degree or minimum of 4-years' experience in a sourcing and/or purchasing role (required) in an ISO certified manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Industry certification such as Institute for Supply Management CPSM (preferred) or Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) CSCP.
- Highly proficient in utilizing ERP Systems (Global Shop - preferred)
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and suppliers
- Negotiation and moderate contracting skills
- Strong PC and MS Office suite skills with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel (required)
