Description: Bulk Terminal Operator _ About NSG Logistics: _ Founded in 1975, NSG Logistics is a rapidly growing trucking, rail and barge logistics company. NSG has expanded its market into Texas and is looking for self-motivated and experienced team members. We are looking to fill our Bulk Terminal Operator position at our Gothenburg NE location. This position will report directly to the Terminal Manager. _ Summary: _ The Bulk Terminal Operator position requires the hands-on operation of all terminal equipment, developing a familiarity with bulk truck and bulk rail car operations, and the administration of terminal reporting functions. The Terminal receives product by bulk trucks, and rail and this position is tasked with the efficient handling of product in both receiving and shipping. Key functions of this position include the way trucks are expedited, customers are handled, and qualities are ensured. A positive attitude, terminal operation skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to be a member of the team are essential elements for a successful terminal operation. The Terminal has a team commitment to operating in the safest and most environmentally responsible manner following all known safety laws, regulations and policies. Providing the highest level of quality and customer service to our customers is a priority at the Terminal. Maintaining terminal equipment, good housekeeping in all work areas, and operating equipment safely is vital to efficient terminal operations. _ Duties/Responsibilities: _ Knowledge of safe and proper orientation of all terminal equipment including forklifts, conveyors, yard transportation, silos, elevators, crane operation, and rigging Comply with all of NSG Logistics' safety rules and perform all duties in a safe and approved manner Comply with all known Local, State and Federal Laws and Regulations Load bulk unit trucks correctly, providing legal weights and proper product for customer delivery or pick-up Perform routine maintenance on all terminal property and equipment. Maintain the terminal in a clean and presentable state Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipments and inventory records Refer to the Terminal Manager or customer service on all customer complaints Responsible for unloading/loading railcars, transferring of product into proper silos/warehouses, sampling and testing of products received and shipped Assist with training of new employees Assist at other Terminal locations as needed Perform other duties as assigned _Requirements:_ Must be at least 21 years of age and a valid commercial drivers' license Must have the ability to stand for long periods and be able to work while sitting, bending, twisting and/or climbing many flights of stairs Must be able to work at heights, in enclosed/confined spaces, near water, and around moving equipment and machinery 1+ years' experience in moving/coordinating bulk commodities via rail and truck Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs Application - Please submit an application at Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Supplemental Pay: Signing bonus Trucking Driver Type: Company driver Trucking Route: Local Experience: Agriculture: 1 year (Preferred) Language: English (Required) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Tanker Endorsement (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Gothenburg, NE 69138 (Required) Work Location: In person |
