Position: 3PL Warehouse General Manager


Description:

Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs.


Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for our tire warehouse who is fluent in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of staff, inventory, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.


Responsibilities:


The General Manager is responsible for achieving employee, and customer satisfaction through effective people leadership and coaching, organization of tasks, and the ability to handle an ever-changing environment.


Additional responsibilities may be added as the needs of the business change and expand:


People:



  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing tire products.

  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction being the primary goal.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse staff.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings to provide updates, receive feedback, and foster a team-oriented environment.

  • Coordinate training programs for employees to enhance their skills and performance.

  • Manage recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of new staff.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

  • Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

  • Communicate effectively.

  • Motivate team members positively and effectively.

  • Create an environment conducive to success by promoting and recognizing initiatives.

  • Manage to a full budget daily.

  • Partner with dedicated customer on a long term basis.

  • Prepare and manage budgets, including forecasting and financial planning.

  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.

  • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Take full responsibility and the required action on disciplinary procedures.

  • Ensure that all members of the team meet targets consistently.

  • Ensure a safe and harmonious working environment for all team members.

Qualification and Requirements



  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Have worked in a warehouse environment at a Manager level

  • Utilized a WMS extensively

  • P&L Management Experience

  • Have worked with figures and understand basic mathematics needed for reporting, analysis, and differentiation purposes.

  • Manage your time effectively and be focused on setting clear objectives and priorities

  • Have managed a large team of people across multiple shifts

  • Have knowledge of workforce management and industry best practices
