Position: Manufacturing Supervisor - Second Shift |
Description: EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a SMT Line Manufacturing Supervisor in our Hughes Network Services division. This position will be located at our office in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Manage SMT Process development team including coaching and mentoring, hiring, performance management and development
- Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of production lines
- Lead operations interface with design teams to review manufacturability/testability and develop/document a thorough production process plan early in design process
- Develop and debug the required process and program to be used for production build
- Responsible for optimizing the production process for maximum throughput with minimum labor cost
- Provide on-going support for production process enhancements as needed to ensure high quality and the most cost effective and efficient manufacturing thru put.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's in manufacturing engineering, related field or combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Previous experience in SMT process development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong engineering skills, with detail understanding of multiple manufacturing lines (Surface Mount Technology)
- Experience with recruiting, hiring and retaining teams
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience within a lean manufacturing environment with demonstrated results and oriented leadership leading to continuous cost, quality, and productivity improvement.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
