This is an onsite position at our Mueller location.


Responsibilities & Qualifications


In this role, you will:


Perform the monthly close process for the investment portfolio and reconcile the general ledger to the custodial bank;
Prepare all Statutory and GAAP reporting for the company's investment portfolio, including quarterly and annual statutory statements and ad hoc reporting;
Prepare month end management and Board reports;
Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of the investment portfolio;
Monitor and report the investment portfolio's compliance and regulatory issues;
May manage commercial banking relationships, calculate the daily cash position and authorize fund transfers, analyze cash flow activity and prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as necessary for senior management.


What you will need:


Bachelor's degree in accounting or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
For intermediate level position, at least two to four years of progressive investment accounting experience; for senior level position, at least four to six years of progressive accounting experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Analytical background and experience.


What sets you apart:


CPA or MBA.
Experience with an investment accounting package and Bloomberg.
insurance industry experience.

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.


Base Pay Range: $72,932.55 - $119,914.20 Per Year

Texas Mutual's flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
