Keller Trucking currently has an opening for Mobile Mechanic.
Mobile Mechanic - Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Perform PMs and repairs on heavy duty trucks and trailers at various off-site locations such as drop yards and customer lots.
- Read and comprehend service troubleshooting guides using OEM software such as Cummins Insite, Tech Tools, and Diagnostic Link
- Maintain an intermediate to advanced level of skill in diesel aftertreatment, air brakes, electrical and lighting systems and other major engine components
- Perform yard checks at off-site locations and complete repairs as needed
- Perform safety and annual inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Install, mount and dismount tires
- Maintain inventory in mobile service truck
- Interact courteously and professionally with drivers, vendors, and customers.
- Process repair orders and complete tech notes on digital work orders
Special Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience or its equivalent in training
- Experience with OEM software is preferred
- Brake certification in accordance with FMCSA 396.25 required
- Basic computer skills such as email and Word
