Description: Overview: A Senior Software Engineer - Core Banking is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions related to core banking platforms. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system/user needs, and implement scalable and efficient software modules. They ensure adherence to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. Expert programming skills, knowledge of core banking systems, and experience in software development methodologies are essential for this role. Responsibilities: Leads the design and development of complex software applications using programming languages appropriate for the assigned platform in compliance with the IT Security & SDLC Policies and applicable desk procedures. Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, optimizes, and implements software code. Researches, tests, builds and coordinates new software integration per production and client requirements. Conducts regular analysis of existing programs and recommends/implements methods to increase and/or optimize operating efficiency or adopt new requirements. Develops and maintains documentation to provide clear understanding of the purpose and operational procedures of the program and of the application's environment. Identifies errors or exceptions and works with other team members to analyze and develop resolutions. Uses internal and external customer feedback to improve application functionality. Recommends and leads improvements to optimize existing systems or integrate new systems to enhance application/system functionality. Works with peers and leadership from different functions and has an impact across the department. Qualifications: Education Min/Preferred: Minimum Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Description: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Experience Minimum Years of Experience:6 Preferred Years of Experience: Comments: 6+ years of experience in Computer Science Knowledge, Skills & Ability Expert experience with Symitar Episys PowerOn Recent and relevant experience with the following technologies in a senior or lead capacity: object-oriented design and programming, secure coding practices, Java, C#, and base understanding and experience with web technologies (JavaScript, JSON, XML). Development with SQL Server databases, views, triggers, and stored procedures. Own and solve complex tasks that are part of a large project and lead small projects on their own.
