Description: Your Responsibilities We are seeking a skilled Business-IT Solution Architect to bridge the gap between our business and IT teams, focusing on our Rate Management tool. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both business processes and IT systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between departments.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure the Rate Management tool meets business needs by facilitating clear and effective communication.
Collaborate with business units to understand their rate management requirements and challenges.
- Exchange with IT vendor and internal teams to connect, develop, and maintain the Rate Management tool.
- Provide training and support to business users on the Rate Management tool together with our internal Training Organization.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of the Rate Management tool, suggesting improvements as needed.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications in systems architecture, integration, or rate management systems are a plus
Minimum 3 Years of Professional Experience: You should have a solid foundation in your field, with at least 3 years of hands-on professional work under your belt.
Expertise in Technical Solutions & System Integration: You're skilled in designing effective, technical solutions and are comfortable working on system integrations.
Programming & API Knowledge: Proficiency in relevant programming languages, including experience working with APIs and XML, is essential.
Freight Forwarding Knowledge (a Plus): If you have some background or familiarity with freight forwarding, that's a bonus, but it's not a must!
Understanding of route optimization system: We're looking for someone who gets how Google Maps works from a logical standpoint.
Project Management Skills: You have experience managing projects and coordinating efforts to ensure success.
Experience with Descartes GPM (a Plus): If you've worked with Descartes GPM, that's an extra advantage!
