Emergency Medicine job in Ashland KY

We areseeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locumtenens opportunity in Ashland, KY. This position offers the chance to work in ahigh-volume emergency department with comprehensive specialty backup and astate-of-the-art facility currently under development.

Thisrole features 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required. There are noon-call responsibilities, providing a predictable work schedule. The emergencydepartment sees an annual volume of 65,000 visits, ensuring a dynamic andfast-paced environment. A new emergency department with 75 exam rooms is underconstruction and is expected to open in late . Additional facilityhighlights include a 24-hour Cath Lab and the use of the Epic EMR system.

Specialtybackup is comprehensive, with all specialties available except forOphthalmology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), and hand surgery. Tosupport the needs of the department, candidates must be flexible and willing towork both day and night shifts, including weekends.

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Current certifications in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Providers with IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) licenses and a Letter of Qualification are welcome to apply.

• Active Kentucky medical license.
