Position: Lead Toddler Teacher


Description:


About the Role:


As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. You will be leading a team of teachers and assistants to create a positive and engaging learning experience for toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years old. Your main goal is to ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need to develop their cognitive, social, and emotional skills.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting

  • CPL III or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire

  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with 1+ years experience

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish



Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development

  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and aides

  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's progress

  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and licensing requirements



Skills:


As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will utilize your strong communication and organizational skills to create a positive and engaging learning environment for our young learners. You will also use your knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Additionally, your leadership and supervisory skills will be utilized to mentor and guide assistant teachers and aides. Finally, your ability to work collaboratively with a team will ensure that our program runs smoothly and effectively.






Compensation details: 17-18 Hourly Wage
