The South Texas Veterans Healthcare Administration is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Physician specializing in Radiation Oncology to join our team at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center in vibrant San Antonio, Texas. This is a permanent full-time opportunity to provide exceptional patient care to the veterans of South Texas, a community that truly deserves our best.

Position Details:




  • Position Title: Staff Physician, Radiation Oncologist


  • Location: Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas


  • Department: Section of Radiation Oncology, Department of Imaging Services


  • Full-Time Equivalents Needed: 1



Compensation and Benefits:



  • Proposed salary range: $375,000 $385,000 with the potential for performance pay up to $15,000.

  • Incentives offered: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), relocation assistance, and sign-on bonuses.



Work Schedule:



  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

  • Limited on-call responsibilities, shared among three providers.



Academic Opportunities:



  • Faculty appointment available with potential for adjoint professorship at UT Health San Antonio's Radiation Oncology program.
