Description: Are you seeking an engaging locum tenens position where you can make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting? A unique opportunity awaits in Washington State, near Salkum, WA. This outpatient role in a community health center offers a fulfilling environment where you will work with diverse patient populations, including vulnerable groups such as migrants and refugees.
Position Details:
Start Date: March 3, 2025 (or as soon as credentialed).
Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours per week). No call requirements.
Patient Volume: Up to 21 patients per day.
Patient Age Range: Newborns to geriatrics.
Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, and access to pediatricians and administrators.
Charting System: Epic EMR.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient ambulatory care, including chronic disease management and walk-in/acute care services.
- Perform basic procedures such as injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care.
- Provide compassionate care to diverse populations, supported by onsite interpretive services.
- Hit the ground running with a one-week orientation period, transitioning into full patient care by day three.
Requirements:
Board Certification: Family Practice (BC required).
Licenses & Certifications: Active Washington state license, DEA, BLS, ACLS.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Family Practice Physician with recent face-to-face patient care experience.
Vaccinations: COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are mandatory.
Languages: Spanish or Russian proficiency is a plus but not required.
Background Check: Must have a clean record with no malpractice issues.
