Job Requirements/Details: The need is for a pediatric nurse practitioner to provide newborn infant care in our Perinatal Newborn Nursery. Most urgent need is for weekday Monday to Friday. Ability to work weekends is acceptable. The NP will work with a physician during the week and with a physician and pediatric resident on the weekend. Required: Experience caring for the newborn in a perinatal newborn unit. Complete skills in evaluation and medical management of the newborn infant. Skills preferred (nice to have but can do without): Skills in phlebotomy for the newborn Certificates required: certification as a pediatric or family medicine nurse practitioner # of beds: 25 Patient volumes: 15-20 newborn infants Additional Staff - Physicians & APPs EMR System (Clinic EMR different than hospital EMR?): Cerner on inpatient and outpatient units Two to three references - Pediatrics and/or Neonatology
