Description: CCFT BIO: Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies designs and manufactures compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for the heavy-duty truck market. About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Programmer to join our team. As a Fabrication Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing CNC programs for our fabrication processes. Your main goal will be to ensure that our fabrication processes are efficient, accurate, and meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all programs are optimized for maximum productivity and quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in CNC programming for fabrication processes
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes and materials
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 5-axis machining
- Knowledge of G-code programming
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar software
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement CNC programs for our fabrication processes
- Collaborate with production team to optimize programs for maximum productivity and quality
- Troubleshoot and debug programs as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of all programs and revisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology
Skills:
As a Fabrication Programmer, you will use your expertise in CNC programming and fabrication processes to create and implement programs that meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with our production team to optimize programs for maximum productivity and quality. Your strong problem-solving and analytical skills will be essential in troubleshooting and debugging programs as needed. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and a strong understanding of fabrication processes and materials will be critical to your success in this role. Additionally, experience with 5-axis machining, knowledge of G-code programming, and experience with SolidWorks or similar software will be beneficial.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to navigate using air and ground transport with moderate to extensive travel. Keep in mind this is a hands-on position that requires you to be out in the production plant working at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Duties are performed in a loud environment (production setting) subject to relative ambient temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
