Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Orthopedic Specialty Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to the team.

• 
  Previous orthopedic experience is preferred but will train a new graduate with interest in orthopedics!
  


• 
  The position includes both the clinic and OR.
  


• 
  The new Physician Assistant will be working with a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon.
  


• 
  Cases include both pediatric and adult and includes total joints, trauma, back etc.
  


•

Responsibilities include:

• 
  First assist
  


• 
  Initial evaluations
  


• 
  Joint aspiration and injections
  


• 
  Pre-op and Post-op H&P s
  


• 
  Reductions of fractures and dislocations
  


• 
  Write scripts
  


• 
  Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC s
  


• 
  Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
  


• 
  Casting and splinting
  


• 
  Possibility to run clinics
  


• 
  Hospital rounds
  

The location is 40 minutes to Bloomington.
