Get to Know Your Team:

  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.


Responsibilities

  • Position will cover about 50% of the time in an Outpatient setting and 50% in Acute Care.

  • Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.

  • Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involve the patient/family.

  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

  • Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

  • Provide education to patients, families and staff members as necessary for the attainment of treatment goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient and personal records.

  • Participate in performance improvement process as it relates to departmental, site and network functions.

  • Participate in selection of new team members and assist with peer review of performance as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • May be required to be "on-call."


Qualifications



Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree

  • License to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas is required or must be obtained prior to hire

  • BLS certification thru American Heart Association

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Master's and/or doctorate degree

  • 2 years' experience
