Description: I am working with MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Waterloo, IA and MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center in Cedar Falls, IA and they are looking for some Orthopedic Surgery 24 hour call coverage for their group s vacation coverage over the next several months. I wanted to touch base with you to see if you have any availability to help out. The job description is below and please let me know if you have any interest in being presented to this particular job opportunity MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center Waterloo, IA MercyOne facility 366 bed facility Level 3 Trauma Center 27K Annual ER Volume MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center Cedar Falls, IA MercyOne facility 100 bed facility Level IV Trauma Center 33K Annual ER Volume American Healthcare Services Association vendor management job These two facilities are looking for gap and vacation 24 hour call coverage late February ongoing The dates of coverage needed are: Feb 27-March 2 May 1-4 July 31-Aug 3 Oct 30-Nov 2 The group will only look at candidates that can fulfill at least stints of their coverage need The physician would be on 24 hour call for both facilities during each stint No clinic duties No supervision 10-20 patients per day in total for both locations Four full-time Orthopedic Surgeons in the group Four full-time APPS in the group Medical Imaging: Yes Lab and Pharmacy: Yes Procedures offered in the practice: -History and physical exam admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages to correct or treat various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the extremities, spine, and associated structures by medical, surgical, and physical means. -Such conditions include, but are not limited to, trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system, deformities, injuries, and degenerative diseases of the spine, hands, feet, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow, and include primary and secondary muscular problems and the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system. -Orthopedic surgeons may provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies. -They may also assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.
