Maintenance Sr. Technician

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Maintenance Sr. Technician in our Nusil site. This role will be a full-time position based in Carpinteria, CA. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a very dynamic team in a great environment. NuSil is involved in healthcare, aerospace and biotech. What we're looking for

Maintains building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.
Performs maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.
Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.
Answers security alarm calls as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical School preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Skills in mathematics, personal computers and related applications are vital.
Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
Knowledge of HVAC systems required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
