Compensation: $28-38 an hour with overtime available. Average annual income ranging from $58,240 - $99,800+

Diesel Mechanic Job Summary:

Are you an experienced mechanic? Come join our team! Ferguson Brothers Excavating is hiring heavy equipment mechanics and truck mechanics to work on: Heavy Equipment: Caterpillar, Kubota, John Deere, Bobcat; and trucks: Mack, Ford, Sterling, various pickups.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including inspections, fluid changes, and part replacement.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to address complex repairs and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working on various machinery.

Diesel Mechanic Requirements:

• 1+ year of diesel engine or heavy equipment repair
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient in using hand tools and performing mechanical repairs on vehicle systems, including transmissions, air brakes, and hydraulics.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation and fabrication is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Drug and alcohol testing required before the first workday.
• Medical DOT Health Card required.

Diesel Mechanic Preferences:

• CDL A (Preferred)
