Position: Sheet Metal Production Supervisor |
Description: SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:Responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment operating procedures, and working conditions.GENERAL DUTIES - Supervises staff; plans, assigns, and directs staff activities
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standardsLeads employees to meet the Company's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
- Implements departmental policies and procedures.
- Hands-on assistance completing work orders.
- Manage department priorities.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Maintains employee safety and morale by creating a safe and efficient working environment.
- Performs other duties as assignedPREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering or Business Administration, or 5 to 10 years of working experience in manufacturing.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.Technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.Must have knowledge about technical operations, business, and financial skills.Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
