Infection Control Nurse

St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, OH, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infection Preventionist (IP) RN to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity with a rotating weekend on-call schedule.

Shift: 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, On-Call, Every Fourth Weekend Rotation

Certification: CDC Infection Preventionist Certification Required

• 
  Infection Prevention: Implement infection prevention and control programs in alignment with CDC guidelines to safeguard residents and staff.
• 
  Surveillance: Monitor infection trends, track outbreaks, and report infection data to appropriate health authorities.
• 
  Staff Education: Provide training and education on infection prevention practices for staff, residents, and families.
• 
  Policy Development: Develop and update infection control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• 
  On-Call Support: Provide on-call services and guidance as needed, with a rotation every fourth weekend.
• 
  Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to address infection-related concerns and improve patient outcomes.

• 
  Required: Current RN license in the state of Ohio, CDC Infection Preventionist Certification.
• Previous experience in infection prevention and control, particularly in a healthcare or long-term care setting, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to educate staff and families on infection control practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
