Description: The Escrow Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating real estate transactions by managing escrow accounts and ensuring that documentation is accurately completed. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently handle multiple tasks related to the closing process, including communication with clients, real estate agents, and lenders. The Escrow Assistant supports the escrow officer in preparing necessary documents, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating the disbursement of funds. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing excellent customer service throughout the escrow process. A high school diploma is required, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Escrow Assistant is expected to exhibit strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a commitment to managing sensitive financial information with confidentiality. KeyResponsibilities:
Manage Escrow Transactions: - Assist in opening and maintaining escrow accounts ensuring all necessary documents are collected.
- Review transaction files for accuracy and completeness prior to closing.
Documentation Preparation: - Prepare escrow instructions and closing statements in compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate the signing of documents with all relevant parties.
Client Communication: - Serve as the point of contact for clients, real estate agents, and lenders during the escrow process.
- Provide timely updates on the status of transactions and address any concerns.
Coordination of Closing Process: - Schedule closing appointments and ensure all parties are informed of the details.
- Facilitate the disbursement of funds and record keeping after closing.
Compliance and Record Keeping: - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations throughout the transaction.
- Maintain organized and accurate files in accordance with company policy.
Experience/Qualifications
Education: - High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: - Previous experience in escrow, title, or real estate preferred.
Skills: - Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in computer software related to escrow transactions.
Additional Qualifications: - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and real estate terminology is a plus.
Salary Information
$13.00+ Hourly
