Position: Elementary Children's Director


Description:

The Elementary Director serves as a key member of the Kidz Pointe Team at The Pointe Church. A leader in helping to establish, implement, guide and lead children from Kindergarten to Fifth grade on their next steps of loving, becoming like and sharing Jesus. This position carries both managerial and individual contributor responsibilities.


The Elementary Director will coordinate and administer a ministry environment that has, at its heart," Helping children take their next steps ". The Elementary Director will work under the direct supervision of the Family Pastor and in harmony with other staff members and ministry team leaders in fulfilling the church's mission and vision.


The Elementary Director will develop systems, strategies and structures in alignment with The Pointe Church's mission, vision, DNA, strategies, and philosophy.



Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:



  • Reproduce and advance the Kids Ministry culture, best practices, systems, and ministry environments at The Pointe Church.

  • Execute the vision of The Pointe Church in Kidz Pointe through strategic planning, implementation, and alignment with ongoing evaluation of environments, and oversight of the ministry budget.

  • Oversee and develop Kidz Pointe team by keeping them accountable to their personal and ministry goals, meeting with them, and resourcing them to accomplish the set vision.

  • Oversee "weekend" service experiences for Kidz Pointe by creating an exceptional front door guest experience for kids and parents as well as dynamic small group/large group environments for kids. Oversee the process of camps and any other outreach events that may be planned through the Kidz Pointe staff team.

  • Directly report to and work with the Family Pastor to ensure value and mission of church are lived out in Kidz Pointe.

  • Manage the use of facilities and budget effectively, while maintaining a positive and synergistic relationship with the Lead Pastor, the Family Pastor and all other church staff.

  • Prepare, participate and support the weekly staff meetings and build relationships to work together as a family to fulfill the mission and vision of The Pointe Church.

  • Maintain a presence during weekend services within the Kids Ministry environment, while attending to your own spiritual growth by attending the main worship auditorium on a regular basis.




Position Qualifications (Must have):



  • A passion for ministering to others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, ensuring their growth and development into fully devoted followers of Christ.

  • 1 - 3 years of children's ministry experience.

  • Exhibits strong decision making, project management, and leadership capabilities

  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)

  • Competency with basic computer software

  • Understanding of security protocol

  • Personal Qualifications

    • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate that relationship through a lifestyle that is reflective in keeping with Biblical principles.

    • Protect the unity of the church by acting in love toward others, refusing to gossip and following the direction of church leadership.

    • Member of the church.

    • Financially support the work of the ministries at The Pointe Church through consistent tithes and offerings and maintain wise stewardship over your personal finances.





Hours:



  • The weekly requirement will be an average of 25 - 30 hours per week including Sunday's.



Compensation:



  • Competitive hourly salary based on the experience as well as additional skills brought to the role. Annual Compensation range of ($35,000 - $42,000).
