Position: Activities Assistant

The role of Activities Assistant is vital to our community, as it encourages individuals to engage in both individual and group activities that align with their interests and needs, contributing positively to their quality of life. We are in search of cheerful, approachable candidates who exhibit strong integrity and a remarkable work ethic. Patience, empathy, and a caring demeanor are essential qualities for this position. We offer both full-time and part-time scheduling options.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the creation and implementation of a dynamic monthly activity schedule.
  • Support and facilitate activities across various timeframes, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Plan and oversee community outings and events that resonate with resident needs and preferences.
  • Propose engaging activities tailored to individual residents and their families.
  • Visit residents who are confined to their rooms, promoting interaction through one-on-one engagements.
  • Ensure familiarity and compliance with safety policies concerning infection control, OSHA requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the department to guarantee a clean, safe space for all.
  • Order and manage supplies critical to enhancing activities.
  • Complete required assessments and documentation as directed by the Activities Supervisor.
  • Assist in transportation arrangements for resident excursions when necessary.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor in interactions with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and safety protocols, maintaining a secure work environment.


Pay rate: $13-$15 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications:
