Description: Role Details:
- Setting: Outpatient, Clinic/Procedure Coverage
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Weekend Requirements: NA
- On-call Requirements: NA
Duties:
- Perform EGD, EVS, and general GI cases
- Manage 12-15 procedures per day
- Handle 8-10 clinic patients daily (30-minute slots)
- Address cases such as IBD, abdominal pain, EOE, and minimal hepatitis
Procedures:
- General GI cases
- Procedures use max sedation/propofol, supervised by an anesthesiologist
- Procedure blocks: 30 minutes, with 12-15-minute durations (can double book/run two rooms)
- Fujinon scopes utilized
Additional Details:
- EMR Systems: EPIC (Smartsets for ordering) and Provation
- Support Staff:
- MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech
- APP available on-site 2 days per week (depending on shifts)
- Workload:
- 40+ procedures on the waitlist
- 40-50 clinic patients per week (Monday-Thursday)
- Bowel prep at provider preference (e.g., Miralax)
