Schedule for Assignment :
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
June 2-6
June 9-13
July 7-9
July 21-23
September 2-5
Ongoing dates will begin October 2025
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Job Details/Requirements:
Board Certified Gastroenterology
Active Utah license highly preferred
Active BLS - required for credentialing
Gastroenterology Fellowship - required
Active DEA - required for credentialing (will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
Clean Malpractice - highly preferred
Clean Background required
Summary: Looking for a gastroenterologist to help provide 24 hour call coverage to both site concurrently. The team will need a total between all locums of 7 shifts per month.
Setting: Outpatient, Call, Inpatient
Trauma Level III
Duties: EGD
EMR: EPIC
Support Staff: MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech
Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage.
Average call back hours: 7.5 hours
Is there anesthesia support? Yes - in the OR.
Procedures performed on a call shift: 4-5 procedures
Required procedures: Mostly EGD (upper endoscopy) and then sends over flow call needs (colonoscopies mostly) to next day in clinic procedure schedule.
EGD and Colonoscopy procedures - 30 minutes
PEG Tube Placements - 1 hour
Double Balloon Enteroscopy/Push Enteroscopy - 2 hours
