Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Flight Management System Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO to support the development and integration of a Flight Management System. The Flight Management System (FMS) is a fundamental component of a modern transport airplanes. An FMS is a specialized computer system that automates a wide variety of in-flight tasks, reducing the workload on the pilot. The FMS provides and/or automates Flight Planning, Datalink, Guidance, Navigation, Performance and Thrust Management functionality. You can expect to interface with engineers from all a multitude of teams such as hardware, software, PVI, Human Factors, Vehicle Management, Communications, and Navigation. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Flight Management System Design and Analysis Engineer. A successful candidate may have experience in the following areas:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
(Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. (Level 4) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
