Education Requirement
  • Certification Program - Graduate of accredited nuclear medicine technology school

Experience
  • 1 year of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or;
  • Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine clinical rotation during a formal education program

Licensure/Certifications
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
  • CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
  • SCSQRSA License

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Prepare and educate patients, ensuring informed consent and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient conditions during procedures and provide necessary care and support.
  • Accurately prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET, ensuring high-quality results. Analyze imaging data and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting regular quality assurance tests. Identify and address equipment malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Provide technical support and consultation regarding nuclear medicine procedures and findings.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry requirements. Engage in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements.
Pay Package

$30.00+ per hour
