Position: Worship and Media Pastor |
Description: At New Life Church, we're all about "reaching the one!" New Life is a vibrant, welcoming, and multiplying church committed to reaching those who do not know Jesus yet. Last year we launched a new campus, becoming one church in two locations. We're excited to welcome a new Worship and Media Pastor who is ready to build teams, equip leaders, create environments where people will experience God, and help us become more effective in reaching people throughout central South Dakota.

Abilities
- Adept at building and coaching teams.
- Reliable self-starter, delegator, natural leader, and team player.
- Has a strong ability to organize and follow through with ongoing tasks in a multi-site capacity.
- Passionate and knowledgeable in regard to music and worship leading.
- 5+ years of worship leading in a charismatic church setting.
- Proficient to lead worship from one or multiple instruments.
- Proficient in ProPresenter, Planning Center, livestreaming, light programming, and basic video editing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Church Leadership
- Participate as an active member of the New Life staff, proactively advancing the mission of the church and taking on new responsibilities with a positive attitude.
- Engage in Intentional Growth Planning strategic efforts.
- Collaborate with staff members and volunteers in reaching people outside the church.
- Meet regularly with the lead pastor, campus pastor, and other staff members to develop personal leadership and ensure alignment with church direction.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and other meetings as needed with church leadership.
Prepare and lead worship
- Lead worship on Sunday mornings in Pierre
- Coordinate worship program at the Gettysburg Campus, occasionally traveling to lead worship there.
- Lead and coordinate musicians for weekly Wednesday prayer and worship nights.
- Manage and encourage a strong lay team of approximately 20 worship leaders, musicians, and tech volunteers.
- Coach musicians and team members toward a style of growth and discipleship.
- Intentionally and prayerfully choose weekly set lists and manage songs in Planning Center.
- Input lyrics and chords in ProPresenter.
Worship Department Administration
- Manage worship team and tech team schedule in Planning Center for two site locations.
- Assist in planning for intra-department efforts (wedding, funerals, community events, etc.)
- Manage stage, backstage, and green room organization and cleanliness.
- Develop and implement resourcing and discipleship initiatives to further empower team members.
Worship Department Leadership
- Foresee upcoming needs for the worship and tech departments
- Lead the process of selecting new songs for corporate worship.
- Facilitate new team member recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Oversee worship team nights
- Assist in creative projects for church events (Christmas, Easter, Kids Party, etc.)
- Meet regularly with team members and team leaders, instigating discipleship intentionality and cohesion within the team.
Technology
- Oversee recording and production of weekly video announcements
- Develop and produce sermon video introductions and graphics as needed
- Manage department of sound, livestream, and ProPresenter volunteers, managing equipment while ensuring team cohesion and value.
- Update the website and church app with relevant information
Social Media
- Plan and execute social media communication aligned with the brand and vision of the church.
- Identify new ways to promote the church and its ministries online.
