Job Details - Job Summary: A sleep (polysomnographic) technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and comprehensive patient care.
- Provides sleep related education and support to patients and families.
- A sleep technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and is able to provide general oversight of other sleep center staff.
- The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology (RPSGT or RST).
- A sleep (polysomnographic) technologist 2 performs functions of the base level sleep tech, efficiently and accurately scores at least two studies per shift of the (scorable) polysomnograms that they have collected according to accepted professional standards.
Job Requirements - Two plus (2)+ years of experience in Sleep lab.
- Knowledge and Skills necessary to provide age specific care for all populations seen in the Sleep Lab.
- Proficiency in performing ancillary testing (oximetry, actigraphy, home sleep apnea testing).
- Proficiency in distinguishing sleep states and identifying clinical events, according to professional guidelines.
Additional Details - Required Skills & Experience: Two plus (2)+ years of experience in Sleep lab.
