Lead Electrical Inspector | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Description: Join the City of Beaverton team as the Lead Electrical Inspector and play a key role in maintaining high standards for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for inspecting buildings to ensure compliance with all electrical codes, ordinances, standards, rules, and regulations. You will also conduct plan reviews on commercial and industrial electrical plans and specifications, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards. We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of safety practices related to electrical inspection, methods and materials used in the electrical trade, and state and local standards governing electrical inspections. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and stakeholders, and experience in developing reports and maintaining accurate records. Wage range: $40.79 - $54.65 hourly base wage Inspectors may receive up to an additional 9% premium pay added to their base rate of pay, per the SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement for possessing certain additional inspector certifications. Starting rate will be determined depending on relevant work experience as outlined in the Equal Pay Act. New hires who meet the minimum requirements will start at step one. Higher steps may be offered to those who have additional years of directly related experience to the position within the posted wage range.
