Chef Manager - Business Dining

With a strong focus on on-site Catering, you will have the opportunity to showcase your own unique culinary flair by recommending menu items and themes!

Reporting to the General Manager, you?ll take a hands-on approach in focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol, and client relations. Our Chef Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute company-delivered programs.

? Responsible for culinary operations in an office building cafeteria and station setting
? Manage and direct a team of five (5) staff that includes cooks and Front Of House
? Regular client meetings to present and discuss catering menu options and themes
? Select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes for consistent quality
? Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food accordingly and on budget
? Execute the launch of Marketing initiatives and proprietary Aramark brand concepts
? Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
? Responsible for scheduling, inventory, ordering; meet with food and labour cost targets
? Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation

? Minimum 3-5 years culinary experience in a commercial or corporate setting preferred
? Post-secondary degree or diploma in culinary or hospitality is preferred
? 1-2 years? management or supervisory experience
? Advanced culinary experience to present creativity in menu and catering offerings
? Ability to follow recipes, portion-control, maintain quality and freshness throughout the service
? Some technical ability preferred to troubleshoot POS and Micro-Market dispensary
? Effective communication to maintain positive working relationships with customers and staff
? Organization, multi-tasking, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a busy setting

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
