Position: PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Birmingham, AL |
Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a per diem (as needed) position offering flexibility in work hours and scheduling. As a PRN SLP, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, and long-term care, as needed. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population. Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding speech and language conditions and treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatments, and evaluations in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to patient care plans.
- Stay current on best practices, treatment techniques, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) preferred.
- Previous experience as an SLP in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying patient needs.
- CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
