Description: Adelphi is seeking an experienced/entry level Physical Therapist Assistant to provide services at a facility in Los Angeles, California. The Physical Therapist Assistant will deliver direct patient care services under the direction of a Physical Therapist, that will include; the implementation of treatment plans, administration of therapeutic exercises, and ongoing monitoring of patient progress.

Requirements:



  • Graduate of APTA program accredited by CAPTE

  • Current FSBPT License

  • Current CA License

  • CPR and BLS

  • For experienced PTAs - Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years

  • For entry level PTAs - Less than 1 year experience within the last 3 years



Responsibilities:



  • Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.

  • Provide direct patient care services under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in performing assessments and complex treatment procedures.

  • Complete reports or assessments/evaluations and progress notes utilizing facility's approved documentation forms in the residents chart.

  • Maintain documentation on all residents referred for services.

  • Ensure resident medical record information is maintained as confidential and is held in trust and confidence.

  • Attend and participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings.

  • Provide in-services information to appropriate staff and family members.

  • Participate in appropriate in-service educational training programs.

  • Participate in departmental special assignments pertaining to therapy services.

  • Complete all tasks within established timelines provided by the facility.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
