Perform physical examinations and assess the medical history of oncology patients.
Evaluate and monitor patients' symptoms, side effects, and response to treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy.
Treatment Administration:
Prescribe and manage chemotherapy, supportive medications, and palliative care measures under the direction of an oncologist.
Oversee blood transfusions and administration of growth factors or other treatments.
Symptom Management:
Provide supportive care to address pain, fatigue, nausea, neuropathy, and other cancer-related or treatment-related symptoms.
Manage oncologic emergencies such as febrile neutropenia or tumor lysis syndrome.
