Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cytotechnologist to join our laboratory team in Medford, OR. This role involves microscopic evaluation of cytologic specimens, assisting in the detection of cellular abnormalities, infections, and cancerous changes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in cytopathology, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform microscopic examination of cytology specimens, including gynecologic (Pap smears) and non-gynecologic specimens.

  • Screen slides for abnormal cells and malignancies, preparing reports for pathologist review.

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory guidelines.

  • Assist with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures and Rapid On-Site Evaluations (ROSE) when needed.

  • Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, and quality control measures.

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

  • Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory personnel, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.

  • Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education to stay updated on cytology advancements.

Qualifications: Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor s degree in Cytotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

  • Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program.


  • ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification required.

  • Licensure in Oregon (if required by state regulations).

  • Strong knowledge of cellular morphology, staining techniques, and cytology procedures.

Experience:

  • 1+ years of cytotechnology experience preferred (new graduates welcome to apply).

  • Proficiency in gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology screening.

  • Ability to work independently and accurately in a high-volume lab setting.

Shifts & Work Schedule:

  • Day Shift (Full-Time, 40 hours per week)

  • May include weekends/holidays as needed
