Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Hematology Technician/Technologist to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of hematology tests and procedures, ensuring accurate results for patient diagnoses. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in laboratory practices, and committed to high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: -
Perform hematology tests, including CBCs, coagulation studies, and hemoglobin electrophoresis. -
Operate laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers for hematology testing. -
Accurately record and document test results in the laboratory information system. -
Ensure quality control procedures are followed and maintain the integrity of patient samples. -
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment. -
Follow laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP). -
Assist with inventory management and ensure all hematology supplies are stocked and ready for use. -
Provide support to laboratory staff and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers. Qualifications: Education & Certification: -
Bachelor s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Hematology, or related field. -
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) by ASCP or similar. -
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred. Experience: -
1-3 years of experience in a hematology laboratory preferred. -
Familiarity with hematology testing procedures, including CBC analysis, coagulation testing, and blood smear examination. -
Knowledge of laboratory quality control and safety protocols. -
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Shifts & Work Schedule: -
Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (8 hours) -
Friday & Saturday: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM (12 hours) -
