Description:

Barton Associates is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity involves providing medical oncology and hematology services at a hospital setting, starting 05/05/2025, for a duration of 120 days. The schedule consists of Monday to Friday clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm, with additional weekend coverage for infusion services. The practice is split between hematology (40%) and oncology (60%), with an estimated patient load of 16 per day. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with medical oncology and hematology procedures and proficient in using the Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in outpatient and inpatient settings


• Manage a diverse patient load of approximately 16 patients per day


• Perform medical oncology and hematology procedures as needed


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams


• Oversee weekend infusion services


• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation


• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards


• Adapt to both clinic and hospital responsibilities







Additional Information:


• California medical license required


• Experience in both hematology and medical oncology preferred


• Comfort with a predominantly outpatient practice (95%)


• Ability to manage a busy clinic schedule
