Position: Gastroenterology Physician |
Description: Facility in Alton, IL seeking GI Locums coverage Rates: $475-$550/hr Position Highlights
- High-priority need due to recent turnover.
- 49-bed community hospital with full GI lab setup and supportive clinical team.
- Daily work includes procedures, clinic visits, and inpatient rounding.
- Weekly schedule: 4 days in GI lab ( procedures/day), 1 clinic day ( patients/day).
- In-house call coverage required during weekdays.
- On average, 4 admissions during call shifts.
- Procedures: routine colonoscopies, EGDs, scopes for bleeds, treatment of esophageal bleeds. ERCP experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Adult patients only (100%); no pediatric care required.
- Supported by a full-time GI APP in clinic.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active Illinois State Medical License (required)
- CSR and DEA licenses (required)
- ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Must be available for a minimum of 2 weeks (10 days) per month
