Description: Opening: Physician Specialty: General Surgery Position Type: Locum Tenens Facility: Inpatient Location: North Carolina Contract Length: One week in June 2025 & one weekend in September 2025 Schedule: Specific dates, 24 hr call, nights & weekends required June 23-26 (7a-7a) Sept 11-14 (7a-7a) Details: Seeking a BC General Surgeon to provide 24hr call coverage for the full-time team. Inpatient only, NO Clinic, call, nights & weekends required Procedures required: Emergent general surgery cases: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc Avg patients/day/provider: 15 clinic cases Surgical cases per week: 8-16 OR Cases Established practice with existing surgeon No ICU/critical care duties Does not respond to codes EMR is EPIC Air and ground support to transfer patients New physicians will need to come in the day before scheduled shifts for orientation Credentials: NC license, BC in General Surgery Please contact a Medstaff Recruiter for more information about compensation, benefits, and travel specific to this position at or email
