Anesthesiology Locums Job in New York ASAP Start and Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Needed:

- Need an Anesthesiologist to start as soon as credentialed and ongoing. This is a crisis need for this department and extremely urgent.
- Ideally able to cover two consecutive weeks per month and cover when the other locum isn't scheduled.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
- Call: 1st and 2nd call, 7a - 7p plus call from 7p - 7a
3rd call, 7a - 7p
4th call, 7a - 5:30p
Weekend days and/or Holidays: On call for 24 hours 7a 7a



Assignment Details/Requirements:

- Cover routine surgical cases as the primary anesthesiologist. Highest volume is with ortho and GS cases. Call is required and includes OB. (within 15-minute response)
- OR Setup: 100% OR and L&D, we have 9 main OR's constructed approximately 18 years ago. No Clinic work. This is 100% OR work.
- Procedures Required: All routine surgery, no CT, neuro or cranial cases. Regional blocks for OR cases. No outpatient pain management
- Procedures Preferred: OB/Gyn, ortho, general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular, colo-rectal surgery, ENT, GI, Urology. Peds welcome but limited to healthy kids (no high-risk peds).
- Requirements: Board Eligible/Board Certified, ACLS, MMR
- Temp privileges can be requested with clean file, no malpractice, no work gaps.
- Patient Load: 4-5 cases per day, roughly 700-800 deliveries per year
- Team: Approx. 15 MD's, 2 CRNAs, Anesthesia techs, PA's, nurses, OR techs. Rare CRNA supervision.
- EMR System: EPIC
